Edwards’ First Ad/Prompts Supporters’ Responses

The Edwards camp has produced a video ad slated for an “inside the beltway” run. It’s in opposition to Bush’s war spending veto:

Seems like a normal ad, but has a corollary: the Edwards camp is prompting supporters to upload their responses.

This has been done before, but what if these responses were structured into its very own ad, and ran on TV. Imagine how salient and reinforcing it would be to supporters: they’d be prompted to donate money to put their own ad with themselves in it. Their words would be shown on national television. It’s highly motivating, and encourages further participation, as opposed to having responses just sit there, unviewed, on YouTube.

Something to think about.
