The iPhone could not come out sooner. I don’t know about you, but I had my credit card out during the keynote speech, just waiting for the Apple Store to come back up. What really gets on my nerves though is that Mac aficionados have been drooling over the idea of an “iPhone”, Steve drops it in our laps, and what do we do? We bitch! If you hate Cingular or you don’t want to pay $500 or $600 for this kick-ass device, don’t, it’s that simple. It’s a phone (with safari built-in and wifi) and an iPod (with video capabilities); those two devices purchased separately are easily worth $500. Not to mention that it runs a version of what some have speculated as being OS X – Leopard. You don’t have to use Windows Mobile or RIM’s Blackberry OS. You will be able to use OS X not only on your Mac but now, on your phone as well. I for one am glad that Apple went with Cingular. Verizon is notorious for locking features in their phones. As an example, I have Cingular and a Razr, I can connect my Razr to my MacBook Pro via Bluetooth and send pictures to and from both. With Verizon, the Razr’s Bluetooth feature is restricted. Apple wanted, no, they demanded full control over the iPhone. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I want my iPhone
